We're BACK!

We had a wonderful time with my sister and her family. All of my sisters are such awesome women and mothers. I loved watching my sister with her kids (ranging from 16-6 yrs.). She is amazing with them but I don't think she knows how amazing she is. I loved the relationship she had with each one of her children. I have learned so much from my sisters and my own mother on how to be a great mom...I hope I can follow in their footsteps! A shout out to all the hard working moms out there...it is tough work-- but well worth it!
I have tons more pictures but I will have to make a slide show of them later...but here are a few for now.

I've seen a few blogs where people have chosen a word for their new years resolution...I have chosen a few words I would like to focus on this year.
Thankful ...because I am so thankful for my life, incredibly thankful--and strange as it may seem, I am especially thankful for trials. Whenever something bad happens in my life, although not immediately, eventually I think about what lessons I can learn...and then I always have a overwhelming sense of graditude for my Heavenly Father for loving me so much that he would give me trials to make me grow! Seriously, just think about it-- If he didn't love us, he would never allow us to grow. Of course I'm not just thankful for trials, I sure do love those blessings too!! Simplify...because I am trying to enjoy the simple things in life a little bit more. Those are always the things that make me most happy. Husband...because I always feel like he is doing more for me than I do for him...I really feel like I have the best husband in the whole wide world (I hope you all feel the same way about your husbands!) and I want to make sure he knows this every single day...at least for the next year:)

Quilt Time

I finished Luke's quilt before Christmas (thanks Tanya for teaching me!) and I never posted the pictures. I love it! It looks wrinkled in the picture, but it is supposed to look like that--gives it kinda an old fashioned look. It is so cute! I am now about to start Isaac's quilt. Luke's is brown/tan, blue, and green. Isaac's will be red, blue and brown (haven't found my browns yet though). These quilts are easy but take a lot of time...especially for me, a beginner! I think I won't be as die hard as Tanya making many quilts but instead, just make one quilt for each one of my kids.
The other pictures are just random pics. I won't post again until I get back from Maryland. See ya!

A little of what we've been up to...

New Years Eve Celebration!

Poor little me. Just hours after the car accident.

Kyle has taken such good care of me since the accident and other issues we seem to keep having! Thanks babe, I love you!

Isaac Catching up with his bud Ammon Stringham from Chicago. The Stringhams are some of the best friends we made when we lived in IL. We miss you guys!

Catching up with old roomies at the byu creamery! Look at all those kiddos!

Isaac loves his new bunk bed! We got it a few months ago but I never put the pictures up.

Isaac is learning to do all sorts of chores. He is doing such a great job!

That's about all we've been up to! Oh, Kyle's company is doing great! We really feel good about it and look forward to getting a real salary after graduation. We are headed to Maryland next week to visit my sister and her family. I'm sure I'll have tons of pictures to share when we get back!

Happy New Year and AZ Highlights!

Luke sees good fortune and good luck for YOU in 2008. We want to wish everyone health and happiness and definitely no car accidents in the new year! Happy New Year!!
Just click on the pictures to see slideshows from each of these fun events. I still have pictures from our Family Christmas party to add.
FYI--Wanted to leave the year 2007 with a big BANG! and then a CRASH! First, I got my hair cut--almost 9 inches! and then I got myself into a car accident. Thankfully it wasn't my fault and thankfully the boys are all okay, but I have whiplash and we'll know more once I see a doctor, hopefully tomorrow. We are so thankful that it wasn't more serious!
