Just Stuff

This is what I call Cute Stuff!!

And a big 8 months old too! I feel like this past month Oliver has turned into a little boy. Yes, he is still such a baby, but he looks like a little boy! He has mastered sitting ALMOST completely. He still likes to lean for toys and sometimes falls, so we are still calling him a sitter in training, but he is doing a good job! He is cutting his second tooth and soon with have that gummy, toothy grin that I adore. His smile melts all of our hearts...I bet his smile muscles are super tired because I feel like that is all we do all day long sometimes, just try and do things to make Oliver smile and laugh.

Luke discovered picasa and LOVED it. He helped me edit these pictures and of course he chose purple for the collage color! He was like, "Mom, this is fun! It is like a game!"

Oliver is sure spoiled. I dumped a few of these yummies on his tray and Ruby didn't think he had enough sooo...

When I asked her what she did, she said, "I made a big mess." She said it like it didn't matter. And it didn't.

She is spoiled too. How can we resist? We really do try but after listening to her cry one too many times to have a turn on the tramp (it is way too dangerous to jump when the boys have friends over and are jumping). I figured we would get our use out of it this summer and then pull it inside for the winter so the kids can jump off some of their energy. Oliver will get to use it too as soon as he masters standing:)

If you can't tell by her face, she LOVES it. We got it from Walmart (it got great reviews) and it is bigger than an exercise tramp and if you can't tell from her face, she LOVES it and doesn't want to get off. She is quite the bouncer!

I got to decorating Oliver and Ruby's room even though we aren't officially moving Oliver in until the end of the summer. I think Oliver is going to love his new bed! He has been in our closet most of his life. Isaac and Luke love knowing that Oliver is using their bedding from when they were babies. I'm glad I went with the simple colors and patterns because I know if I had chosen bears, or dogs or something like that, I would be sick of it and not be using it for the 3rd boy. Mom, do you remember bringing me the quilt and striped blanket when I had Isaac? I found the crib dust ruffle (is that what it is called) on clearance a few months later to match! I got the bumper at a second had store for 10 bucks...I remember when I lived in Chicago and the 2nd hand stores were actually good! People only had one or two kids, so the stuff was in great condition. Here in Utah, well, that is all I need to say, right?

Just a few new changes in the nursery. I finally did Oliver's name and I love how it turned out.

And another change. Oliver will need Ruby's car seat in a couple of months and since Ruby has been throwing tantrums everytime we get in the car because she wants to sit in Luke's booster seat, we thought we could get her a seat a few months early. The pink was a big hit! She can be in this until she doesn't need a carseat anymore and it was a great price! She loves it and refused to get out. She sat in it for 30 minutes this morning.

And since there are no pictures of Isaac or Luke in this post, I'll leave you with a quote from our library trip. I took the kids to the library and the boys ran ahead. They stopped at the door and wouldn't go in...I was hurrying because it was cold and I didn't understand why they didn't just go in. Isaac was holding Luke back and when I got there he pointed to a sign that said "NO SHOES, NO SHIRT" in really big letters--so that is all he saw. He was like, "MOM, we can't go in!!" I pointed out the smaller letters underneath "no service" and explained what it meant. And we had a good laugh. The next time we were going to the library Isaac said, "Mom, you remember that sign? It isn't a very nice sign. Because, what about poor people? They might not have shoes!"
