Daddy and Ruby went to the Princess Festival at Thanksgiving Point. She loved it!! I think he loved it too!
They asked if someone wanted to come have tea and Ruby was the only one brave enough!!
Kyle was impressed with the number of Older princesses...some of them were part of the event, but most were just there to have a good time!

I never did post about the fire in our hills in our neighborhood, known as the "Dump Fire". It started out small enough to see the flames
Th kids liked watching the helicopters and airplanes throw water down.
sometime during the night the fire grew so big that the next morning, the sky was black and raining ashes. And then an hour later after this picture(below), we were evacuated. For that hour the kids and I were in a mad frenzy tossing everything we could for our trip to AZ in the van. Good thing too because the evacuation orders went on for a good 24 hours and we wouldn't have been able to get our stuff for our reunion! These pictures are taken from my front porch.
We did make it to AZ and our house was safe and sound when we returned a week later.
We had a great time with cousins while we were there. I will have to add all the reunion pictures later...there are lots!!

We used to call this Uncle Jims cool turtle.
BUT now he is just Mr. Mean Turtle--that is what the kids call him after he chomped down on Olivers fingers (Oliver pretty much put his fingers in his mouth trying to feed him lettuce). It was a pretty nasty bite so we got some antibiotics for him when we got back to Utah.
