Oliver's first week

Bring on the BEAR!
Oliver one week old

Lots and Lots of sleeping.

Lots of Holding.

Lots of CUTE!

Lots of fun!

Lots of Daddy Time!

Kyle took the boys and some of their friends to Kangaroo Zoo...they LOVED it!
Kyle also took the kids to Farm Country. Ruby was too scared to ride the horses so she watched.
Kyle also took the kids "swimming!"
What a great dad!

Lots of Hanging around time.

Lots.
I tried out my sling. Oliver is a look all around the world kind of kid. When we walk with him, he will not just lay there in our arms...he has to be looking all around. When I put him in my sling, he just stared up at me the whole time...he was adorable of course.
Me and the boys reading The Magic Tree House books.
Isaac LOVES to hold Oliver and tells me to take his picture all the time. He is such a good big brother. Luke loves Oliver too but he prefers to just lay next to him and play with him...I need to remember to take some pictures of their play time together!
Ruby learned how to kiss this week! She gave about a million kisses to her brothers to show off her new found skill. She is good at making the fishy face right before she nails you with a big smackaroo!
Yes, she is always this happy when she holds Oliver. She pronounces his name "Ollo." She never wants to stop holding him. I usually have to bribe her with a treat so she will be done.

Today we were lucky to have my friend Aubrey take Oliver's newborn pictures. They are great pictures! Here is just a peek.

My two babies

How did my baby girl grow so big in just one week?
(right after this picture was taken Oliver puked next to Ruby's face...we thought she would be done with him but she cried and cried until we got a new blanket and resumed the positions.)

She gets really worried and sad when Oliver cries.

This is the dolly we gave her when we brought Ollie home from the hospital...she loved it for about 30 seconds until she figured out what we were trying to do. She new she had traded down and immediately resumed her hovering position over HER baby Oliver. I think that has been the hardest part...she wants to be near him, touching him, and loving him all the time. She also continues to hand me stuff while I'm feeding him. So by the time he is done nursing, I have him in my lap as well as about 20 other baby items. She is always so helpful!!

(ignore the bed head:)

My baby girl is having a hard week...she is mostly really good but gets a little impatient towards the end of Oliver's meal times and wants mommy or daddy to hold her all the time...but she hasn't shown any jealousy YET...just making sure we don't forget she is still our baby girl.

Kyle has been working half days so I am left in the morning trying to figure out how to juggle all of Oliver's feedings around quality time with the other 3. We are managing and so far, surviving and even smiling sometimes in between the baby blue cries...which can be triggered by NOTHING. Eating a bowl of cheerios or reading "spot goes to the park" has never been so sad!:) But overall, we are all doing great! Kyle is taking good care of all of us. He has already done 3 fun activities with the kids in the afternoon and is taking them to Kangaroo zoo tomorrow...I'm a little jealous!!

I'm finally here!

Drum roll please......

I'm.....

A....
BOY!!!!

I made my grand appearance around 4:30 pm today, July 22. My parents are still deciding on a name but at least I have made it easier for them by letting them know I am a BOY oh BOY! My mom claims she knew all along...she only packed a baby boy outfit and the nursery is blue, blue, and more blue.

I'm pretty cute and have lots of dark hair. My parents hope it stays dark because no one else in the family has this dark of hair and it would be fun to mix things up a bit. Isaac loves to hold me and both my brothers wondered where the doctor was when I started to cry during their short visit with me tonight. Ruby doesn't want to let me out of her sight or grip for that matter. She keeps pointing to all my face features and naming them....eyes, nose, mouth--gag gag as I spit her fingers out. She will be lots of fun for sure I can already tell!
