... Books! The boys were being quiet this morning so I went in to check on them. They had pulled most of their books off of the shelves but were happily reading. I love that they love books.
Isaac finished up soccer just in time to start t-ball.
Why is that people think summertime is the perfect time to move away? We have had to say goodbye to lots of friends including this awesome nephew! We miss you already Cedric!
Isaac and Luke both loved their swimming lessons. Now we just need to make it to the pool more often so they can use their new skills. I wish it wasn't so expensive to go swimming! I miss the free AZ family pools.
We've enjoyed going to the park with friends. Here are some of my oldie but goodie MBASA friends! 3 of us had babies this past year and Lindsey is due in 2 weeks with her 4th girl!
He didn't know I took this picture...I just thought it was too funny. Those fun boys...I mean men!
Friday night Isaac got to be in our wards float. They did a rocket and the kids dressed up like aliens. Of course Isaac thought it was the coolest float ever! Saturday morning we watched the parade. I made sure the our family demonstrated proper parade etiquette. What? You didn't know there was such a thing? Yes and it includes lots of yelling and clapping and waving. Luke would eat a piece of candy and his hand would shoot right back in the air for some more waving. I was a proud parade mama. I taught Isaac that the more clapping and waving and yelling you did, the more candy you got. He was a quick learner.
My opinion? Don't go to the parade if you don't plan on cheering on the participants...those people worked hard on those floats!!
Flip flops are the official summer shoe. Ruby tried hers on for about 30 seconds, but she prefers the other official shoes of the summer--bare feet. I can't blame her. If I could stick my feet in my mouth that deliver hours of entertainment, I wouldn't want shoes on either.
The free kind. I organized a neighborhood co-op summer camp and the boys love it. We have 3 different age groups (a total of 33 children participating) and so far it is worked out great thanks to some awesome moms! We have done a western theme and pirate theme and next week is water fun!

Where are those free AZ family pools? I'm dying of heat here - bleh!
Always love reading your updates!!
Oh yeah, I must say Lukey is getting quite the long curly locks on top! Pretty sexy!
I love your post! We've missed most of the sports, do a lot of reading (mostly because of the heat outside, but hey!), miss our mbasa friends and park dates, and I LOVE parades! I only wish the rest of my family felt the same way, but I do manage to drag the crew to at least one every summer. Your kids are so cute - I love every picture of Ruby!
Wow - summer sounds like a lot of fun. You forgot spending time in the office!
And that picture on the swings - we were having a serious discussion. Swings are great for that.
Cute post Emily.
Love the parade part...too funny!
And you are so super-mom - organizing co-ops and stuff! Way to go!
We miss you guys so much already!!! When we said goodbye I thought we'd see you again :(
Time after time I have to keep telling you how I admire your blogging skills. You've got to stop this, I just can't keep telling you!! Okay I'm joking. Keep up the good work & maybe someday I'll catch on.
We love you Widdy peeps so much!
I love your long posts, Emily.
I have to say, I almost woke up my sleeping baby with a scream of delight when I saw how long and curly Luke's hair has become! Stunning, simply stunning.
Also, would like to say that Ruby and Cedric look like fraternal twins.
Too cute Emily...yes, I'm blurking...but I think your blog is adorable, so I can't help myself :) I can't believe we're the same age and you have 3 kids...and I have 1...that's crazy...for you, of course, not me...
